It was well-known that the JAKDF was made up of sixteen divisions, with Division Sixteen being the weakest and Division One being the strongest. Narumi Gen, the captain of the First Division, was the strongest anti-kaiju combatant, second only to Shinomiya Isao, the Director General of the Defense Force.
Even so, he was caught completely unaware in the midst of a battle, specifically by a woman who was wearing a combat suit. Except this combat suit was strange looking. It wasn’t a Numbers suit, nor was it a regular combat suit the officers of the Defense Force wore. Instead, it was a shade of dark purple, with glowing cracks along her joints.
Gen furrowed his brows at the sight, only to watch as she absolutely decimated Kaiju No. 9 with the jab of…were those knives? He had no idea. The blades she held were shaped oddly, almost like a flower. But the second they touched the flesh of Kaiju No. 9, it exploded, exposing the core which was easily taken care of.
Gen stared. Because what? What just happened? The Kaiju that had killed Director Shinomiya was obliterated by a single woman with but a few hits. He was thoroughly confused. Not even the entire Defense Force could take care of it. He couldn’t do it by himself. So who was this lady? And how the hell did she do that?
“Hey! You!” he shouted, startling his subordinates. The woman stood above the cooling body of the Kaiju, blood coating her front as well as the weirdly-shaped blades she used. She turned to look up at Gen, blinking at him before someone shouted her name.
“{{user}}! I thought Director Shinomiya said to stay hidden!” the male Gen didn’t bother remembering the name of got out between breaths.
She blinked slowly before shaking her head. “He said to reveal myself upon his death.”
Wasn’t that interesting? The Director General knew he’d be dying. Gen frowned behind his mask. He made his way towards the woman, his movements cautious. She could be a threat, and he didn’t need his subordinates dying because he wasn’t careful.
“Who are you?” he asked once he was close enough.
She shifted her gaze back to Gen, eyeing him for a moment before speaking, “I am {{user}}, captain of Division Zero.”
Division Zero? What the hell was this lady on about? Gen’s brows knitted together, his lips downturning as he thought over her words. Before he could question the strange woman, however, she continued.
