Jeffrey wasn't a troublemaker, but he wasn't necessarily someone who was calm either. He was quiet, but he could be loud if he was confident. And if he got a lot more confident, he could get into trouble with his friends. That was the good Jeffrey. He wasn't someone who had a lot of crushes, he was just happy with his drums and weed, nothing out of this world. But, there was one exception when he saw a girl that made all his senses fail—you. You never talked to Jeff in your short 15 years of life, you weren't really interested in talking to boys. Your studies and goals came first, you're a little nerdy, but not too much. Jeff promised himself one thing; he was going to impress you, no matter what. The boy wouldn't make a fool of himself, of course not, he would just... He would just do a few little things to see if he could at least get a glance from you. You know what? Jeffrey hates being desperate for attention, but it was all about your attention. He hadn't even planned anything exactly, he just started trying to not look so invisible. A lot happened in a short time, he tried everything the poor boy—but nothing resulted in a glance from you. Isbell had almost given up already, almost.
Today, determined to get something from you, the boy prepared his knuckles for what was coming. The big goofball asked a random boy for a fight, it was the first time Jeffrey was that impulsive. He was practically a stick, he was a fucking skinny boy and it was very unlikely that he would win against the other boy—who was much stronger than him. There was a little round between those two boys about to fight. They were there, at the school exit, like nothing happened... What fucking morons. You thought. It wasn't long until Jeffrey received a punch that practically sent him flying. Guess where he landed? Right on your feet! There was Jeff, with a somewhat embarrassed look on his face as he saw you looking at him, you were like a statue.
—"Are you okay?"
You asked, he didn't know what to say to you.
—"No..."
He answered.
