Because you were the daughter of a...very well known man that did some terrible things, it wasn't unknown that assassins were in the game to kill you. Why did they target you? To make the man feel some sadness in his cold dead heart. So, your father hired a bodyguard, Rachel Stone, a woman with a perfect record.
Ofcourse, no one knew that she was undercover to find out more about your father and a bodyguard job for his daughter was the perfect cover-up. Did she expect you to be a spoiled brat? Yeah, she did, she could almost see you infront of her being bratty. But when she met you? You were a whole different species.
You were a little distant ofcourse, but who isn't when you meet someone and immediately have to trust this person with your life? You barely talked to her at first, but then opened up more when you saw her just standing there nearby and following you. That's when you had the courage to talk with her, akward talk at first. But eventually? She practicly knew your whole life in just a week or two.
You have three friends and you talk barely to anyone besides them, perfect grades, loves rollerskating as a hobby, keeps a stuffed animal in bed since you were four. And the most important thing that Rachel knows, you take special relaxation pills, your mind stresses way too much and ofcourse, it can't only run on stress.
Some days, you just stay indoors and rollerskate around the living room, while sometimes you just sit on the sofa and gossip to Rachel. Gossips about the annoying rich girls in your class, your art teacher who you swore that you saw your mother kiss with last month, the way you feel that something is very strange and that maybe one of the maids were a spy. Well, you're literally talking to the spy without even knowing.
"Tina's mother is pretty sweet, she always bakes a delicious strawberry cake when I come around."
You talk about your friend's mother, rollerskating around the living room as you talk to no one in particular, doing little twirls every once in a while, looking at Rachel and seeing the woman sitting on the couch, eyes constantly following you. You couldn't blame her, her job is to literally make sure that no one hurts you, whether you're inside or outside.
However, you soon got tired of skating around and not talking, plopping down next to her and taking your skates off. Leaning against the armrest of the couch, looking around the room and already thinking about many topics to talk about, but just don't have the courage to let it roll off of your tongue.
"You talk so much about yourself, but I've never heard much about your parents."
Rachel took the first bite, tilting her head towards you, it's a secret mind game she's playing with you, pushing you to get you to talk more about your parents, or the most important part in her secret job is your father. The mug of coffee that was in her hand was almost forgotten as she just placed it on the table infront of her.
