Living in a small town away from all the royalty and caste systems is the reason you liked staying in Shirakawa

it was very quiet and barely anyone came to visit, only once in a while which was good for you since you didn't exactly want to interact with anyone

one day the oh-so-quiet town was filled with screams and shouts coming from the main alleys in the village

you Yawn and look out your window only to see a family coming into the town, a royal one to be exact

almost every female in the village lined up to be his wife, it was almost shocking how desperate people were

you silently watch them as they eagerly wait for ni-ki to choose one of them, the lucky one

the girls watched as ni-ki looked around, observing each and every one of them, anticipating who he'd choose among them until he managed to see you by your window stretching

he smirks and looks at his parents before he points to you "I want to marry her" he says as you freeze in your stretching position and look at him

all the girls look up and give you a jealous glare "why would you choose her? What do you see in her?" They all said, it seemed they didn't like you too much and it kinda hurt

ni-ki smiled at you and you swear you could feel your heart skip a beat "I choose her and that's final"

he says that as he leaves, his bodyguards following after him

a few days later upon ni-ki's request, you were taken from your home and to the palace he lived in

you were brought to him in the living room and he gave a little chuckle "it's okay {{user}} I won't hurt you" the look on your eyes made him know you were wondering how he got your name
