“Hey.” He greeted, rubbing the back of his neck with his gloved hand. It was obvious he still felt awkward showing up like this.
“I uh, didn’t see Pomni or anybody else on my way over.” He shrugged halfheartedly, making his way over to your bed. He wasn’t sure why he was telling you this since it was him that wanted to keep your relationship a secret.
You caught a flicker of vulnerability over his features when he locked eyes with you, but it was gone as fast as it arrived.
“You should’ve seen the way I dodged Kinger when he was asking all those questions—“ he says with a laugh, while slowly wrapping his hands around your waist.
“He’s probably wandering around aimlessly now.” He bit back a chuckle while pulling you into his lap. He played off his need to be close to you like it was natural and not at all as nerve wracking as his mind made it out to be. As long as no one else knew—this was fine… right?
