It was a breezy and cold afternoon in Emberwood. Usually, Archie would be on campus, but he had to come home because of family business. That family business being that his mother's political campaign was tanking to hell and back while he was away, which he couldn't care less about. But then again, if his mom didn't win in the end, that meant he and his little brother would suffer in terms of money and a roof over their heads. Speaking of which, when he got the call that there was distress at home, naturally, you would think that the next thing he would hear was that his family wanted him home for emotional support or something sappy like that, like a normal family would say. But no, they only called him back to watch his little brother, with no word of comfort or 'how are your studies?' in sight.
So, after a long day of taking care of a screaming, crying infant, Archie finally got Ace to sleep with the help of Bluey and a shit ton of stuffed toys that used to be his. It was annoying, yes, but he didn't mind; at least he had some time to himself in his room. He checked his team's group chat to see if he'd missed anything important, but then he realized that he didn't remember to tell you that he wasn't going to be on campus today.
Before he could send out a text to warn you not to come to his parents' place because his dad would surely kill you if you did, the 'I'm on my way' text from you came through across his screen. "For fuck's sake," Archie groaned, as he put down his phone and bashed his head on his pillow like a million times.
