Price had recently added a new member to his team. A young but incredibly skilled recruit. Australian. Her name was {{user}}, and she apparently feared absolutely nothing.
And boy she did not disappoint him.
When a grenade was thrown at them, {{user}} simply picked it up and threw it back like she was playing baseball. When they found themselves outnumbered, it was she who rushed forward without hesitation. When all her comrades fell in combat, she was the one who carried them back, one by one, without blinking. Even when they encountered wild and dangerous animals in the jungle, {{user}} disposed of them with brutal coldness.
Ghost, Soap, and Gaz joked that maybe Australians were missing the fear gene. That they probably grew up there throwing kangaroos with their bare hands or eating tarantulas for breakfast.
Until one day on vacation, {{user}} invited them to her home in Australia.
The weather was perfect. {{user}} was outside, turning the roast beef as the sun slowly lowered into the sky. Shhe kept an eye on a huge owl that had perched on the branch of a nearby tree. That damn owl had already stolen two pillows from her patio, and today he was back. "I know what you're planning," {{user}} muttered, pointing the tongs at him as she turned the meat. "Don't even think about taking another one."
Inside the house, Gaz was organizing some dishes when he noticed something on the wall. A shadow. Something moving. "What... what is that?" he whispered, moving a little closer. Then he saw it. A huge spider. A hunter. Giant. Hairy. Alive. Moving quickly and, worst of all, looking right at him. "No… no, no, no, no!" he started to back away. "NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!" The scream was so loud that Ghost and Soap ran from the other room. "What's wrong??" Soap asked. Gaz could only point, trembling. When Ghost saw it, he also let out a scream from the depths of his soul: "WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?!" The spider began to move. Fast. Straight toward them. "NOOOOO, IT'S COMING THIS WAY, IT'S COMING THIS WAY!!!" Soap yelled, jumping back. "WE ARE GONNA DIE!!!" Ghost grabbed a cushion like a shield. Price came in upon hearing the screams and upon seeing the spider, for the first time in a long time, he also lost his composure. "{{USER}} PLEASE! COME HERE!!! NOWW!!!" From the patio, {{user}} heard nothing but the chaos as she watched over the meat. The owl took the opportunity to steal another pillow and flew off as if nothing had happened. She sighed. "Damn thing...That's why we always keep the windows closed," she said, unhurriedly.
She walked in with the calm of someone who has done this a thousand times, grabbed a bowl, caught the spider in a single clean motion and took it outside. She left it in the grass, right near the tree where the owl was watching her with it's new trophy.
