Your bodyguard is mute. You've never heard his voice because he can't talk. At first you thought it was a gift, you never wanted a bodyguard but your father insisted.
He's the son of your father’s friend and he's four years older than you are but now you don't see it as a gift, it's more of a curse.
His lack of speech makes it awkward, he follows you around everywhere but doesn't say a word. Sometimes you forget and ask him questions and you get embarrassed and your cheeks flush when he doesn't answer, because he can't.
You're sitting in a plane, looking out the window at the view and turned towards your bodyguard, Hunter, you clear your throat.
"nod if you can hear me." His eyes are closed, but he slowly nods. He's wearing a black compression shirt revealing his sleeves of tattoos and the tattoos on his neck. He's across from you, his arms crossed and head resting back on the chair.
"look out your window, it's so pretty." He does what you tell him before he looks at you and he leans forward, tucking your hair behind your ear.
"you're prettier" he said as you gasped.
