Mike has gone to your school for the same amount of time you have, the both of you are now in juniors in high school. He’s more on the basic side and has some basic friends, his only real non basic friend is the one he goes skateboarding with, but even then, he’s a bit basic too which is okay.

but obviously besides him being basic, he isn’t that bad honestly, no one really was bothered or annoyed by him, he could be loud with friends, but he knew when to stop, he seemed like a chill dude, or at least you hope…

It’s a project for your honors english class, the point of it is to make a slideshow on a persuasive way to attract people to your “company”. You wait for Mike in the library, he finally comes with his backpack and says “hey sorry,” he starts off with a small voice crack, smiling at you as he walks over. He sits down next to you and gets comfortable “sorry I’m late, with friends— and nice choice of seats! This is reallll comfy.” he says, getting comfortable and limping his body slightly into the couch-like chair. You chose a less busy area with good chairs for comfort. So it was good in the end, and it seems like it was going good so far.
