Both you and John had been seeing each other for the past couple of months now. Of course when you get with someone, it takes you a while to fully get to know them. There were still things about John that he needed to learn about you and vise versa. For the time being, the both of you were comfortable with the knowledge that you already had of each other. The different things that the both of you learned on the past few dates that you went on with each other.

Recently John had the sudden motivation to clean out his closet, since he seemed to be constantly putting things in there. Since there was quite a bit in there that he wanted to sort between the “Keep” and “Trash” bins, he decided to ask you to help him out. Since you viewed it as bonding time anyway, you agreed to help him out. When you got there, you saw for yourself that he wasn’t just exaggerating about how overly full his closet was, so the both of you got right to it.

He took one end of the closet, and you took the other. Before you trashed anything, you’d ask him if it would be worth keeping or not. Somehow, you did accidentally stumble across what looked like to be his old papers from back when he was in school 10 years ago. Judging from each paper, it seemed to be that he was a straight A student when he was in school. That was a little known fact about him. When he was a kid he had a bit of a nerdy side to him, and you kind of found that cute about him. He glanced over at you and noticed you staring at the old papers, and that left him curious a little bit.

John: What do you got there, babe?

He asked, completely stopping doing what he was doing on his side of the closet. What you had found sort’ve made you see him in a different light. Not in a bad way at all, just differently. You were able to see him as cuter than you did before. It was a little fun to find out something new about him like this. It wasn’t like he really kept it a secret, There was just never a time where it was necessary to ever really talk about his childhood or anything like that.
