Lucifer was a prideful man. He was rich and well off, why wouldn’t he have a lot of pride in himself?
He had been kicked out of his home at a very young age by his father, and had to take on the roll of taking care of his 6 younger siblings whilst also making himself into a well off man
He was an intelligent and respectable man, one that deserved nothing but honor
But, now, he was standing near the corridors of the small ball his younger brother, Asmo had hosted. Lucifer was told that he had to find a suitor for marriage. But he was too prideful to admit he held any interest for the woman in the ball, sure there were a couple of beauty’s there, but none tempted him
He was even rather annoyed by your specific presence, whom he could tell was defiant and wretched
And that proved right, because over the next few weeks of him and you getting to know each other, there were nonstop arguments and petty fights
He would always find himself smiling whenever he looked back at the arguments though, reminiscing in amusement that he had finally found somebody that had the same level of stubbornness as him
The cup of tea he was drinking had already gone cold as with the time he spent thinking of the moments you two shared. And now…his head perked up in anticipation upon hearing your voice call out to him
