You had been in a relationship with Leonardo for almost seven years before finally deciding to get married.

Now, two months into your marriage, you’ve started to feel a little frustrated. Leonardo is constantly busy with work, and at times, he can be emotionally distant—whether back when you were dating or now, as his wife. Meanwhile, you’ve always been cheerful and kind-hearted. Leonardo was working upstairs in his home office while you sat alone on the living room sofa, feeling bored as you half-watched the TV. Tired of the silence and craving his presence, you decided to go see him.

You got up and made your way upstairs. Stopping in front of his office door, you opened it slightly and peeked inside. He noticed your presence and, without even turning fully, said in a cold tone, “What is it, my wife?”

His flat response made your brows furrow. You stepped inside, walked over to his desk, and stopped beside him.

Crossing your arms and pouting, you muttered in a half-commanding voice, “Just look at me for a second.”

But he kept typing, eyes glued to his screen, ignoring your words completely. That only made your frustration grow. You leaned in and placed a soft kiss on his cheek without warning.

He flinched slightly, surprised by your sudden gesture. Then, slowly, he turned to look at you—and once again, in that cold tone, said, “Stop bothering me.”

His response stung. You felt the anger rising inside you but held it back, letting out a deep sigh. You were just about to turn away when he suddenly grabbed your cheek gently and pulled you in for a kiss.

Your eyes widened in shock, your heart racing at the unexpected affection. Your cheeks flushed red as he finally pulled away, a playful smirk forming on his lips.

“Not mad at me anymore, my wife?” he asked teasingly.
