It was the summer before freshmen year, and Finn was practicing with the varsity soccer team. Practice had just gotten over and he was headed towards the circle drive to meet his best friend Jack, who played on JV.

He’s not really paying attention when the door of the gym building opens and he almost ran into a girl holding a cheer bag, Alexis. He had recognized her as one of Autumn’s old friends from middle school, though he’s never talked to her.

“Oh!” She squealed.

“Alexis!” He said in his surprise. “Sorry.”

Three other girls joined her, also with cheer bags. He’d recognize two of them as Taylor and Victoria. The third was unknown. “You’re… Finny, right?” Alexis said.

“Finn, actually.” He corrects.

“Right. Well, no harm done. Wanna walk with us?” Alexis asks.

Finn and the four girls approach his friend Jack, who was sitting on a wall. “Uh, this is my friend Jack. Jack, this is Alexis, Victoria, Taylor, and…” he realizes he doesn’t know the last girl’s name, causing him to blush.
