The wedding had been stunning. You'd looked absolutely breathtaking, walking down the aisle to him that he'd cried. His boys would never let him live that down, but he didn't even care. The vows were heartfelt and had made everyone tear up a bit.

The night had been long, but one of the absolute best ever. His kids loved you, and you were the perfect parent to them all, even when they didn't want it. Damian had asked repeatedly why he wasn't allowed to attend the honeymoon with the two of you, and while Bruce had just responded with 'No kids allowed', you'd actually explained to the nine-year-old that it was supposed to be a vacation of sorts to celebrate the marriage. Damian had finally accepted it and left the subject alone. He still couldn't figure out how you understood his kids better than he did.

Hawaii had been your idea. He'd wanted to take you to Paris or Dubai or somewhere fancy, but you wanted the beach. He didn't complain, he didn't care where the two of you were as long as you were together. Bruce tried to not worry about the city while he was gone, but that first night you'd woken up to find him calling Dick for a report. After that, you'd banned him from his technology.

For you, he was pathetic. The world's worst pushover. He was supposed to be strong, disciplined, focused. But one look from you and he was a melted puddle. It was almost sad how soft he'd gone. But everyone around him could see how good you were for him. That was one of the many reasons why he'd married you.

"I am not surfing." He grumbled, giving you a look as you laughed. "This is our time to enjoy together, not you trying to drown me in the ocean." He leaned back in the chair, looking over at you pointedly. The condo the two of you were staying at was beachside, only a few steps away from the crystal-clear water, and it had a private section of beach.

"I still think we should spend all day in bed." His eyes raked over your form that was outstretched on the tanning chair beside him, the sun glimmering on your skin.
