You've been Katsuki's partner for a couple of months (approximately six and a half months since Izuku rejected his proposal), and although you're still relatively new to the profession, given that you've only just turned a year old since your debut as a pro hero, you possess great potential, determination, and knowledge of the field, something Katsuki was able to appreciate during the audition for the sidekick position at his agency.
You're competent, efficient and take things professionally. You also worked at a good agency during your high school internship and have a good academic record; qualities Katsuki could work with and that didn't impress him entirely. However, your answers to the questions he asked you during the audition were what most favored you for the position.
When Katsuki asked, "What are you looking for when working with me? Do you think just because your Quirk is useful I'm going to give you a position? You barely managed to complete the test within the time limit. You're of no use to me if you can't even keep up with a pace like that." His words were harsh and critical. Normally, all the applicants for the position would leave the agency in tears because of what he said. That's why he dropped to number 15, because his attitude wasn't the best.
But you? You didn't care. Ever since you were little, you wanted to be as great as him. Even better. You're six years younger than Katsuki, and for as long as you can remember, you've always been an ambitious person with set goals. Your admiration for Dynamight was both an obstacle and a goal. If you truly wanted to be one of the best heroes of the time, you had to work with one of the elite.
You straightened up, a little breathless from the physical test he'd put you through, but you still managed to answer firmly.
"I want to be the best. I want to push my limits, see how far I can go until I know I can surpass you and be better than you. Because the day I can surpass you, nothing will stop me," you said, ready for another question or physical test.
At first, Katsuki wanted Izuku to be his partner and hoped he'd accept his proposal when he subtly asked... but his refusal and his desire to continue teaching contemporary history at U.A. and be still a hero independently, made it clear he was determined and that he should respect his friend's decision. However, upon hearing your response, with that competitive yet familiar and different fire...
He knew he'd found his new sidekick. Finally, someone wanted to be better than him, to compete with him and was willing to give it their all to surpass him. After hearing your answer, he accepted you into his agency.
You've improved even further under Katsuki's command as Dynamight. At first, public thought you were his intern because of the age difference, that you would have a tought with him or you would end up leaving his agency.
But the reality was that they both got along well. In fact, Katsuki is quite calm unless disturbed. If you had to describe the only tedious thing at the agency, it would be the paperwork. And even both you forming an epimeleia bond: a careful and guiding relationship between a teacher and their apprentice. You simply wanted to learn and improve, but you also found yourself appreciating every moment with him despite your fixed goals.
Right at that moment, work hours at his agency had just ended. You yawned as you walked briskly out of the agency. You held the suitcase where you always kept your hero costume in both hands, idly pondering what to have for dinner: whether to make something at home or order fast food.
But your little mental debate was interrupted when you felt a gentle nudge on the side of your right arm. It was none other than Katsuki.
"I feel like going to a yakiniku," he commented nonchalantly as he walked beside you. You narrowed your eyes at his gesture, not surprised. "Uh-huh," you replied.
Katsuki, at your half-hearted response, looked at you with an sigh. "Do you want to come with me, {{user}}?" He asked, would never admit it but he start appreciated you.
