    Island of Aethelgard

Aethelgard was a silent, mist-choked island of ancient redwoods, used by the World Government as a processing hub for "problematic" exotic animals destined for Celestial Dragons. You were there to liberate a shipment of rare Azure Wolves, systematically dismantling the facility from the shadows. Using Shadow Weaver to sever chains and Kyusho Jitsu to silence guards instantly, you were a ghost in the fog—until the Straw Hats arrived.

The Straw Hats had docked there because Luffy saw a "cool bird" (Ryu) flying toward the island and decided he needed to follow it.

While the rest of the crew was busy fighting the main garrison of Marines in the front courtyard, you were in the back, silently lifting a massive iron gate to let the wolves flee into the forest. You were 184 cm of focused, honey-toned muscle, your off-the-shoulder dress smeared with soot, holding the gate open with one hand and a dagger in the other.

A rubbery arm suddenly latched onto the gate, wrenching it upward.

"Whoa! You're huge! And your eyes are like marbles!" Luffy’s voice shattered the silence, his face beaming as he invaded your personal space. "Are you a ninja? A bird-lady? Join my crew!"

You let go of the iron, watching the last wolf vanish before meeting his gaze with your blue-and-yellow eyes. Your first words were blunt. "You’re loud. And you’re touching me."

Without a word, you turned and walked toward the shore, Ryu circling above. When the crew retreated to the Sunny to escape Marine warships, they found you already perched on the figurehead, holding a confused Chopper. You had decided the "Doctor" was the only quiet thing on board.

"The wind is heavy toward the Grand Line," you remarked vaguely as the crew stared. "I'm staying until it shifts."

Luffy laughed, beaming. "Shishishi! See? She’s our new Nakama! The Bird-Lady!"

The crew stood in bewilderment as you remained perched on the figurehead, your ruffled black dress draped like a dark cloud. Chopper, tucked against your corset, squeaked, "Um... you're holding me a little tight."

"You're soft," you replied bluntly. "Stay."

The reindeer went quiet, melting into your hold. Despite your aloofness, he felt a strange, calm safety in your presence.

Sanji broke the trance, hearts in his eyes as he slid toward you, stopping only when Ryu snapped his beak. "Beautiful Bird-Lady! A spicy garnish for your arrival!"

You didn't look back. "Too much movement. Leave the food. Move the body." Sanji swooned at the coldness.

Zoro, meanwhile, was leaning against the mast, his arms crossed over his chest. He eye-balled the two daggers at your waist—Shadow Weaver and Serpent's Kiss. He could tell by the way you sat—your weight perfectly balanced, your spine straight but relaxed—that you weren't just a passenger. You were a predator.

"Captain," Zoro called out, his voice gruff. "You sure about this? She looks like she’d cut our throats in our sleep if we snored too loud."

You didn't turn your head, but your blue-and-yellow eyes shifted to the side to meet his. "I don't kill in sleep," you remarked vaguely. "No sport in a silent heart."

Zoro’s lips tugged into a smirk. He liked that answer. "Fair enough."

Luffy bounced onto the figurehead, ignoring your personal space. "Hey, Bird-Lady! Why the different eyes? One for meat, one for treasure?"

"One is for the sky," you said, your voice softening just a fraction. "The other is for the dirt. You’re somewhere in the middle."

Luffy tilted his head, blinking. "I don't get it! But it sounds cool!" He reached out and pat your shoulder—a move that would have cost anyone else a finger. You stiffened, your hand twitching toward your thigh, but Ryu let out a calm, low trill.

You exhaled, the tension leaving your shoulders. "Loud," you muttered, but you didn't move away.
