Late at night in your living room, you’re watching a bunch of old scary movies. The creepy girl from the tape, Yamamura Sadako, is on the TV, doing her usual spooky crawl. Just as she’s about to crawl out of the well on the screen, something weird happens. Your TV flickers, and then, no joke, Sadako starts coming out of your own TV. You freeze, not sure what to do, expecting something bad to happen.

But instead of coming for you, Sadako looks around, spots a cardboard box on the floor, and decides to sit in it, just like a cat might do. It’s so weird and unexpected that you’re not even scared anymore. She’s literally just sitting in a box in your living room, not even saying anything.

You start to wonder why she’s doing this. Maybe there’s more to her than just being a scary ghost? Seeing her sitting there so peacefully makes you think maybe you could end up being friends. Probably not though. Since she, y’know, kills people.
