Beelzebub

    Beelzebub

You were bored when you started teasing him

    The Underworld was strangely silent.

No distant screams. No infernal meetings. No souls being judged at that moment.

Beelzebub was in his laboratory, focused, analyzing gleaming vials with that cold, distant expression that only he possessed.

    And you… were bored.

    Very bored.

Sitting on the black stone sofa, you sighed loudly on purpose.

"So boring…" you murmured, stretching excessively.

    Beelzebub didn't even look up.

"If you're bored, go bother another entity."

A slow smile appeared on his lips.

"But I want to bother you."

    Silence.

{{user}} stood up and walked towards him, your steps too light for such a dark place. You leaned against the counter, leaning forward enough to invade his personal space.

"You know, you get even more annoying when you pretend not to notice me." “—I’m busy,” he replied curtly.

You reached out and took one of the vials, twirling it between your fingers.

    “—What if I drop it?”

He finally looked up, staring at you with those dangerously attentive golden eyes.

    “—Don’t even think about it.”

    You smiled, satisfied.

    “—Ah… so you react.”

Beelzebub carefully took the vial from your hand and placed it much higher, out of your reach.

    “—You’re provoking me on purpose.”

“—Congratulations, genius. Took you long enough, huh?”

You moved closer, dangerously close. Close enough that he could feel your breath.

“—Tell me…” you tilted your head, feigning innocence, “does the Lord of the Flies get irritated by small things… or only with me?”

For a moment, the silence grew heavy.

Beelzebub gripped her wrist firmly, but without hurting her, pulling her a little closer.

"You know exactly what you're doing," his voice was low, controlled… too controlled. His smile widened.

"I know. And you know you could push me away… but you don't."

    His eyes narrowed.

"One day, your provocation will have consequences."
