Ares was a distasteful man. A man who gained strength from the anger of other, from the death of others.

And a man who harbored a grudge. A grudge against the queen of the Amazons, Hippolyta, ever since she had slain his son, their son, in battle.

Thrax had been killing her sisters, and she ended it, Ares had retreated with the body of his son in his arms.

The Amazon's were not foolish enough, of course, to believe that was the end. But Hera provided them sanctuary on the hidden island of Themyscira. There, Hippolyta bore a daughter, Diana. The princess of the Amazons.

As she had grown into her own woman today, Diana fell in love with Hippolyta's chief commander on battle. {{user}}, the best fighter the Amazons had.

It had been hard at first, loving someone so tough and stubborn. But {{user}} loved Diana too and would lay down her life to protect her princess.

Then one day, a traitor of Themyscira revealed their location to Ares, who came with an onslaught of warriors, determined to take from Hippolyta what she'd taken from him: a child.

He was going to kill Diana.

"My Queen!" {{user}} bowed, hand tightly on her sword. "Where is the princess?"

Hippolyta faced {{user}} solemnly. "She has gone to fight. You know we cannot keep her locked away, {{user}}."

{{user}} growled, already heading for the doors. "But she was safe here, my queen."

Hippolyta readied herself for battle while {{user}} fought through hundreds of Ares's soldiers trying to find her love.

And finally, she spotted Diana, fighting ruthlessly back against a large demon-type warrior. {{user}} refused to stop until Diana was safe, and as the last monster between the warrior and her princess fell, {{user}} smiled triumphantly at Diana.

"I won." She smiled, before collapsing.
