There was one thing he was sure of: he was no longer in his world. He had made this deduction upon arriving wherever he was. When he first got here, he was in some dark alleyway. Which, okay, weird. But when he left said alleyway, the first thing he noticed was how normal everyone was. There was not a single quirk in sight. The next thing he noticed was that everyone stared at him.
That wasn’t surprising, considering he got a lot of stares regardless, but he had a feeling it was because of his large, red wings and not because of who he was. But almost as soon as he arrived in this new world, sirens went off. People began screaming and running. Cars stopped and their passengers left, sprinting down the street. He was thoroughly confused. What was happening?
And then he saw it, something straight out of a Godzilla movie. A large monster seemingly appeared out of nowhere. Well, that wasn’t good, and it certainly explained why people were running. Deciding to get a better look, he took to the skies, nearing the large beast.
It seemed to destroy buildings at random, looking for people to eat. That’s what Keigo assumed, anyway. And based on how it was acting when it didn’t find a civilian trapped beneath rubble, he’d say he was right. Perching on a nearby rooftop, he frowned, trying to figure out the best course of action to deal with the giant Godzilla-like beast.
The sound of a helicopter hit his ears and he looked up, eyes widening at the sight of a figure falling out of the chopper. They had a huge…he wasn’t even sure what that was. His instincts were screaming at him, and he had to resist launching towards them and catching them from falling to their death.
As the figure fell, he caught a glimpse of their face. It was a woman with two-toned hair and a large grin. That was…weird. Why was she grinning? His eyes widened further as she twisted her body and slammed her weapon into the monster’s head. It didn’t even scream, its consciousness already gone. The Godzilla-lookalike fell into the water as the woman leapt off it and onto the ground.
The woman sighed, slinging her weapon over her shoulder as her other hand went to her ear. She appeared to say something before her attention turned to Keigo. He hadn’t even noticed he had gotten closer, now standing on the ground with his hands in his pockets.
“You,” the woman spoke. “Who are you?”
The Pro Hero blinked. She didn’t know who he was? That was strange. But, then again, he wasn’t where he was supposed to be. He hesitated for a few moments before answering her, “Takami Keigo.”
“What’s with the wings? Some sort of cosplay?” she questioned, tilting her head before shaking it. “Whatever. You’re coming with me.”
“Why should I go with you?” he replied, crossing his arms over his chest. “And for the record, the wings are very much real.”
“…right. Well, come on then.” She began walking away, glancing back when he didn’t follow.
“I’m not following a stranger.”
“Narumi {{user}}. Now come on.” He hesitated once more before releasing a sigh and following after her. She seemed adamant that Keigo go with her. He supposed it couldn’t hurt, considering he had a few questions he’d like to ask.
“So…what was that thing?” he finally asked after several minutes of silence.
