Elizabeth, the girl Ciel was to marry, came to the manor unannounced when Ciel was out with Sebastian. Alois had came to visit that same day. When Ciel and Sebastian returned, they saw what Elizabeth had done. They went along with it and Ciel changed into what Elizabeth wanted him to wear just to please her.

Ciel was wearing the ring he always wore, that was passed down from generations and Elizabeth took it. When Ciel got mad she threw it and it broke. Ciel just froze before tearing up, that ring being very, very important to him. Alois instantly wanted to help him.
