"Let’s go home." Hunter grumbles, voice all gruff with weariness—tension seeping into his tone. His arm wounds itself tightly around your waist, keeping you by his side without the means to let go, looking like a hulking figure towering over most of the residents and passerby loitering the busy downtown.

It feels exactly like a shackle; except, there's no metal binding you to a pole. Instead, it's a heavy arm calloused with scars and muscle, rough to touch, you can’t seem to shake out of nowhere how hard you try. You know Hunter wants nothing more than to return you back to his territory deep in the woods, kept safely in his den. But in this case, he can't. Not yet, at least. He’s promised you this much, as much as he hated doing so—agreeing for you to explore the town for a little bit until he finally had enough of letting the world see you. You knew he doesn't like disappointing you.

But he doesn’t like you getting your way either if he didn’t like it. You haven’t yet tried to flee, nor called out for help when you shot a glance to each passerby. Not that you can, anyway. He's way faster and stronger than you can ever hope to be, and Hunter wasn’t above killing if it so much meant that anyone other than him was even breathing the same air as you. He’s not above causing a scene, but Hunter also didn’t want to reveal his true nation to puny humans that would be a headache to evade, potentially following him back deep into the mountains with the means to hunt him down.

He only agreed letting you wander the town today supervised because you've been so good lately. It’s the one thing you’ve been begging for as a prize for a while now, and after some time, he had no choice but to reluctantly oblige. You’re getting all restless in the cabin, looking so forlorn and puppy like that Hunter had no choice but to cave in to your very whims despite him finding the place he’s especially decorated for you to be cozy.

There was only one catch; Hunter was coming with. No buts or anything at all. He doesn’t trust you all alone, thinks everyone’s out to get you or that you’d flee like some kind of prey and he’ll have to do all the hard work to wrangle you back kicking and screaming and tucked against him where you belong.
