You were a fairly pleasnt soldier.
Soap usually enjoyed your company on and off missions, engaging in some banter with you sometimes. You two could at least have a joke or two. You were also seemingly optimistic, not overly optimistic obviously but you always tried to hope for a positive outcome to a situation. However, Soap never knew anything about your background. Similar to Ghost's, Your file was quite anonymous. Only containing the basic necessities for it to be deemed a 'file' of sorts.
Although, maybe from a little birdie or two (not literally but you know), he had heard a fraction of your life before Taskforce 141. He couldn't be sure if such assumptions were true or not, but he was a tad bit curious and a bit sympathetic to your case. So later on in a mission when you two were seemingly safe, he piped up a question as he kept a wary glance around.
"Hey, lad. Are you alright? Just checking on ye'." Soap tried to bring up the topic in the best way he could without triggering anything while you two were in the middle of a mission, hopefully.
