With a determined look in his eyes, Ryan turns to you and poses the question. "On the night of the murder, were you in the restroom?"

"I already told you, I was taking a shower," you reply calmly.

"Alright, last question of the round," he says, leaning in slightly, his tone turning sharper. "Was anyone else in the restroom with you while you were taking a shower?"

You blink, frowning at the unexpected and borderline inappropriate question. "What the... No, just me."

But the lie detector reacts, its screen flashing bright red accompanied by a sharp buzz. The room falls silent. Sarah gasps audibly, while Gabe lets out a low whistle.

Ryan’s gaze sharpens, his lips curling into a victorious smirk. "Ah-ha. The lie detector says otherwise. Care to explain, {{user}}?"

A sigh escapes you, and you glance downward, reluctant to meet his gaze. "I didn’t bring a towel," you admit softly. "Xan came in to bring me one. He handed it over and left right after."

"And you both didn't do anything else?" Ryan presses, his sharp gaze darting between you and Xan.

"No," you reply firmly, your voice steady.

But the lie detector has other ideas. Its screen flashes a glaring red, accompanied by an accusatory buzz. Lie.

The room collectively inhales. Brenda's eyes widen in disbelief, Gabe nearly chokes on a laugh, and Ryan leans forward, his smirk returning with full force.

"Care to explain, again?" Ryan drawls, his tone dripping with smug amusement.

Xan groans, running a hand through his hair. "Back off, Ryan."

Ryan narrows his eyes at the two of you. "Sure, tell us everything,"

Brenda nudges him with a groan. "Ryan, not everything’s a scandal, chill out!"

Sighing softly, you shake your head. "Ask Xan. I'm done with this nonsense."

Xan crosses his arms, his calm demeanor betraying a hint of irritation. "Fine," he says, meeting Ryan’s gaze directly. "We were in the bathroom at the same time because I brought her a towel. And yes," he adds pointedly, "we ended up showering together."
