John brushed his hands over your face, smiling to himself and sighing. The days where he could be alone with you, not have to worry about work. Going to the grocery store seemed like a luxury as long as you were beside the cart telling him about the meals you'd been looking up to try. "I love you..." John whispered, pulling you just a little closer.

He's never been one to be all big and scary, but he was also private enough that not many people knew about the two of your relationship. He liked it that way though, it made it feel even safer. "C'mon you gotta wake up. We promised we'd go on a breakfast date."

John pulled himself out of bed and patted your shoulder, gently rousing you from your sleep as he got dressed. He wasn't planning anything huge, just Cracker Barrel or something. But he figured you wouldn't mind much, as long as the food was good and the two of you could talk.
