He gave an eye-roll as his sword swiftly sliced a branch off a tree in the royal garden. It would be picked up by the servants, surely. He continued walking through with you, not really listening to your words or the silence. He’s not sure what’s going on.

“Do you actually want to go into town to give orders for the festival planning?” He spoke with while tucking his sword back into the sheath. His tone had a hint of humor, as if trying to see if you were set on making an appearance. Leander wasn’t sure if his betrothed had been a goodie two shoes like his father. Maybe that’s why he picked you out.

Cassius had immediately sent out crows to the other kingdoms for their eldest of age for his beloved, singular son. Leander had just become of age for marriage and his life was becoming too serious for his liking. And it’s not like he doesn’t like his chosen other…but they seem too put together. Like they actually followed rules.

“No? Okay.” His mouth was quick to open before yours could. His hand grabbed your wrist without care and dragged you towards the far back of the castle, where the forest faded in. His black boots softly thudded with his shoulder pads bouncing. “Don’t tell me you actually want to go to that thing.” Letting go of your wrists and stopping, Leaner’s head whipped around slowly while listening for rustles of animals with his cocky grin, his pearly whites revealed, huge dimples in his cheeks. He was definitely trying to show off something. He wasn’t even paying attention to you.
