You were forbidden to go to the castle of the king. Your mother saw you as the embarassement of the family, so bringing you with her on the day of the elections would be a scandal for her family and the rest of the society of the kingdom.
Yet you had sneeked out to be at the selections of the royal prince, who would soon be crowned to be king. The only thing he needed left was a fiancée, and therefore, all the beautiful girls out of town were summoned and were all eager to become the future queen together with the handsome prince.
Nobody had known, that the prince was actually an ice cold man. Someone who didn't fear. He took what he wanted, and wasn't used to hearing the word 'no'. In fact, he grieved nothing, he took everything. He was ruthless in any form of the word.
You wandered around the castle's floors when you heard footsteps in the hallway. Quickly, you pushed open a random door and hid in the room, only to find someone clearing their throat behind you. You gasped when you saw a handsome man glaring at you from the bathtub. The bubbles covering what was necessary. You froze in your spot, but quickly recovered yourself by muttering an apology and hurrying out of the room back downstairs where all the other women were located.
After a while of hiding and making yourself unknown, the women gasped as the prince appeared into the room, lazily walking over to his throne in the middle of the room. You slowly looked up and froze when you saw it was the man you walked in on. He found your gaze, and for the first time ever, he cracked a smirk. His hand slowly raised and pointed to you. Everyone's gaze made it's way towards you.
"Her," He said, his voice cold but his smirk not fading. "She's going to be my bride."
