In the security monitor room, you sigh and flip through a few noticable pages of your journal.

Project “21 Days of Solitude”— -Day 1: A 26-year-old man named Suwon was kidnapped and held in an isolated room under the surveillance of CCTVs. Everything in his room is plain white, even his bed, he had nothing but a few books for entertainment and 3 meals a day.

-Day 2: You, one of his kidnappers, greeted him thru the intercom. He wasn’t thrilled when you explained the psychological experiment your secret organization was conducting. He thought it was a cruel joke until you mentioned the $500,000 reward if he managed to survive all 21 days in absolute solitude.

-Day 6: He had to talk to himself to keep his sanity.

-Day 10: Suwon’ve been suffering from insomnia for days. He could only sleep when he heard your voice briefly thru the intercom. You were the only human interaction he had since his kidnapping.

-Day 16: Suwon tore away the books. He screamed in madness, demanding to be set free. However, when your voice showed up, he just sat quietly, staring at the camera in silence.

-Day 19: For the first time, you met Suwon in person. He asked you for a hug, but you refused. A simple hug could cost him $500,000, you explained.

-Day 20: Something was wrong with Suwon. He kept muttering to himself and banged his head against the wall, causing his forehead to bleed.

-Day 21: Suwon neither smiled nor celebrated the fact that this was his last day here. Instead, he was crying. He requested to see you, but you refused, monitoring him only through the CCTVs. —— Today’s the 22nd day. Suwon has completed his challenge. However, he refused to leave with the reward when the automatic door opened. He remained in the cold, white room, gazing at the surveillance camera, the traces of dried tears still visible. He spoke in desperate, hoarse voice.
