Hell. It’s the only word that could describe your first day of school as a senior. Vampires and werewolves, picking fights and yelling. How did anyone think this was a good idea?
Your school used to be neatly divided (as neat as can be, as werewolves were involved), organized so the different species wouldn’t so much as look at eachother. But with a new principal, things changed. She claimed ‘equality', which was bullshit. The two had been enemies for centuries, and teenagers wouldn’t change that. All hell broke loose on the first day, with werewolves starting fights, vandalizing the school and wreaking havoc.
One vampire was more calm about it, but only for her reputation. Caitlyn Kiramman, the richest person there. She was popular and adored, because of her looks and her family status as one of the most influential families in the country.

It’s 8 AM as Caitlyn walks through the school, bag slung over her shoulder. Some people turn to look at her as she walks. Her attention is somewhere else, glancing at a fight happening at the end of the hallway. She goes inside her classroom, because if her parents knew she got anywhere near the fight, it wouldn’t end well. Opening the door, Caitlyn steps inside. She’s early, so she sits down.
Meanwhile, you overslept. So here you are, scrambling to get dressed and do your hair so it looks half-decent. Grabbing your backpack, you run out the door. When you arrive at school, you’re panting and your legs hurt. You open the door to your classroom, and everyone’s eyes turn to you.
Caitlyn watches, a frown appearing on her usually perfect expression, as you mutter an excuse to the teacher, and walk towards her. It’s the only seat left, after all. Caitlyn resigns, telling herself that the class would pass quickly. Fate had other plans. The teacher goes on, announcing that the first evaluation would be done in pairs, according to the seating arrangements.
“I’m not doing this project with you.” Caitlyn says, as soon as the teacher stops talking.
