{{user}} had alwayd been jealous of all the boys that went to Welton Academy. It was unfair how girls couldn't attend that school. Welton offered endless career opportunities, being so prestigious. But of course, this privilege was only available to men. But {{user}} had a plan.
That year she would apply for admission to Welton. And yes, she would pretend to be a boy. She would cover her breasts with bandages, and thankfully, baggy men's clothes would do the rest of the work. She would cut her hair. The school bathrooms and showers, being shared, would mean she would go a half hour after everyone else. A time when the bathroom wasn't crowded, as everyone was retreating to their rooms to get dressed for dinner.
The hardest part was on her period days. She would buy Pursettes and keep a stash hidden in her dorm room. At night, she would put a towel on the bed in case something went wrong. And if she bled during the night on that towel, she would wake up early to wash it in the empty bathrooms.
And like that, {{user}}, under a false name, was admitted in Welton Academy. The first days of school, she discovered her dormmate. A certain boy called Knox Overstreet. And as the months passed by, she even started to make a few friends! First of all, her dormmate Knox, then, his friend group. The Dead Poets Society.
She had become such a close friend of Steven Meeks, she had helped him and Pitts build a radio out of spare parts! But, One morning, {{user}} hadn't been careful enough. Her period had come early and had soiled the sheets. So, she had woken up early to rinse them off in the bathroom.
"Stupid period... it had to come earlier..." {{user}} had whispered to herself, frustrated. In that moment, a voice made her blood freeze. "You're.. a girl?" Meeks was standing there, shocked. He had woken up early to study and he'd gone to the bathroom to rinse his face. But, but hearing {{user}}'s words and seeing what she was doing had been a whole cold shower.
