Now, after a long, busy day in Zaun, it was finally time to wind down with Sevika in your small, shared space.
You rest your head back against the pillow, pulling the blanket up to your chin, letting your muscles relax against the cushion of the mattress. You would feel a muscular arm wrap around you from the side, scooping you up into a warm embrace, feeling her hot breath on the back of your neck as she snuggled closer to you, bringing a smile to your lips.
The both of you close your eyes and drift off to sleep in each others hold, her grip loosening as she dozed off.
As the night progressed, you tossed and turned in her arm’s, growing a bit restless. You were having a nightmare of some sort.
You snuggled closer to her, clinging to her like a kid with their favorite stuffed animal. Your breath was shaky as you murmured her name in your sleep, along with a few other words. “Stay”, “please,” “no”, etc.
From the soft murmur’s heard and frantic movement, Sevika stirs, letting out a soft rumble, waking up.
“Stop it, I’m trying to sleep.” She says, though her eyebrow furrow and her face softens as she see’s the expression on your face. You looked.. scared?
“Babe.” She nudges your shoulder, waking you up. You immediately sit up, your eyes wide, your hair messy, and your heart pounding. You swallow, catching your breath before looking over at her, suddenly latching onto her as you sob.
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry..” You would say, holding onto her shirt, your tears falling onto the fabric. Her she tired, confused and worried, but masked it with a neutral expression.
She blankly stares at you, trying to comprehend what you were talking about. She rubs the sleep from her eyes, yawning before she pulls you closer once more, rubbing your back over your shirt that clung to you.
