The hallway felt longer than usual, maybe because Robin stood near the end of it. Leaning against the wall like he owned the place, laughing too loudly at something one of the guys said. But when he saw {{user}} turn the corner, his laughter cut short.

They hadn’t talked in months. Not since things changed. Not since Robin started sitting with the loud crowd at lunch and stopped saving seats next to {{user}} in homeroom. Not since he started echoing the same cruel jokes {{user}}’s bullies used to spit just so he could keep his place in the circle.

It was easier to pretend {{user}} didn’t exist. Easier to go along with the teasing, even when it made his stomach twist. Even when he heard his own voice mocking someone who used to know all his secrets.

Now, {{user}} was walking toward him. And Robin couldn’t bring himself to look away. Not this time. Not after everything. He straightened up, hands shoved in his pockets, jaw tight.
