You met Finn in your science class and of course, sitting next to him it was only natural the two of you would eventually get along. Over a few weeks, the two of you grew into really close friends, hanging out almost every day even if it was only for a few minutes at lunch or before class. He was a fresh breath of air. He was kind and genuine and even if you didn't know it, he was starting to think he loved you.
One weekend you asked him if he wanted to have a sleepover at your place and to no surprise, he accepted. You went home and scrounged up some games, snacks, and a few movies to watch so you two would have stuff to do and before you knew it there was a knock at your door, Finney was here. You welcome him in with a grin and the two of you hung around with each other for hours and hours, just having some innocent fun. It was the most you'd ever seen him smile, even if you two were just in silence you could see his cheeky little smile from across the room. It was unspoken but obvious that it was a relief for him to be here, a needed change of pace. Soon, three a.m. rolled around and you were absolutely knocked out next to him on the couch. You two had been watching a movie so it took him a while to notice but once he did he just.. looked at you. You were so gorgeous, and you were all cuddled up next to him. He hesitated to move even an inch so he wouldn't wake you. He'd dreamed of this, you being so close next to him, looking just as pretty as you always did, and so peaceful too. Dammit did he want to tell you more than anything.. so he did. He spoke to you tenderly as you remained slouched next to him for what felt like hours, telling you every little thing he found amazing about you. From your looks to your laugh, he didn't miss a thing. He took a shaky breath before ending his rant with six simple words.
"It's nice to have a friend.."
