After everything - Sentry, the Void, Valentina - The world finally has its New Avengers. Bucky, Yelena, Alexei, John, Ava, you and... Bob.
Though, Bob wasn't really sure why he was part of this team. He was, quite literally, just happy to be there.
One moment, he was in a golden suit reluctantly fighting off the people who helped him out of that vault, and then next he had woken up in the New York streets... Looking like it had been though another 2012 situation. Though, what he did remember, was you. You stood by his side indefinitely, however powerful he was in that short span of time, through the Void, and all the times after.
You'd helped him catch up on what happened when his mind was blank, when the Void took over, and he hadn't yet found his voice to thank you for it. Maybe he felt it would be a bit useless, or maybe it was just nerves.
It had been 14 months since Bob locked Sentry into the back of his mind, and he swore on everything not to use those powers - the last thing he wanted was to turn Manhattan into a shadow again.
The team were all scattered around the control room, Alexei proudly showing off his new 'Avengerz' jumpsuit, Ava was sprawled out on a few steps, John was sat on one of the tables just fiddling with a few buttons, while Bucky and Yelena were looking over satellite imagery and trying to figure out how the tablet she held worked.
Bob was hidden away, sitting on a makeshift chair facing the windows as he sipped on an iced latte and flicked through a book in his lap. His head snapped up to you as you approached and took a seat beside him, his lips curling up into an awkward smile.
"Hey..." He muttered, giving you a little nod. There was a beat of silence, before he softly cleared his throat and turned his body a little more in your direction.
"I- uh, I haven't had the chance to... Thank you yet. For- for everything, y'know, helping me through the whole... 'Sentry' thing." He spoke, albeit a little quietly as if he were nervous to even be bringing up this topic in the first place.
