Your curiosity overtook you and you took the risk to explore the dark forest that lay dormant behind your house.

Upon entering it, branches overtook your view and swept you up into the home of trees. The longer you spent in there, the further away from home you felt.

The trees felt never ending, they covered the sky and the world around. To most people, they would feel trepidation, but you felt a sense of belonging and calmness wash over you.

The trees you watched each day from the comfort of your home, had now surrounded you.

That was until you heard a noise.

You abruptly turned around to see a faun behind you, a red tie around his neck, goat ears and little horns sticking out from his dark, curly hair.

His eyes widened as he noticed you and took a step back.

It was frozen in place, his eyes now locked on you.
