Danny invited Liam, Ziggy, Bobby, and you to a movie night of whatever dumb movie he found. About halfway through the movie, while the other three were laughing, you glanced at Bobby. he looked off. He wasn’t laughing. he looked conflicted. You knew his dad died, and it was before middle school, that’s all you knew. it was vague, and he never really talked about it. and the movie was talking an awful lot about dads. and having a father. something he couldn’t exactly relate to. He still stayed silent, crossing his arms and avoiding eye contact. No one had noticed he wasn’t laughing. Except you. After the movie, he put on some fake excuse, something along the lines of, “My mom is telling me i have to be home.” He walked out of the room quickly.
