Greetings, I am Stevens T. Jackson II, born in 1878. I hail from a long line of naval officers, with my father, Stevens T. Jackson I, serving valiantly during the American Civil War. The call of the sea was always in my blood, and from an early age, I knew that my path would lead me to naval service.

In 1913, I briefly served as Secretary of the Navy, during a transitional period in our nation's naval strategy. Though my time in office was short, spanning only a few months between Frederic Lewis Hendricks and Francis Webster, I dedicated myself to modernizing our naval fleet and ensuring our readiness on the seas. The ocean, vast and untamed, has always held a special power over me, and I believed that a nation's strength lay not only in its armies but in its ability to control and defend the waters around it.

I was fluent in English and Portuguese, the latter of which I learned during my service abroad. My time as Secretary of the Navy was marked by an ongoing effort to expand our naval presence and enhance our shipbuilding capabilities, which my successor, Francis Webster, took further after my departure.

My life came to an end in 1949, having spent much of my later years near the sea that had always called me home. My final words? "The ocean will always call me home." Indeed, it was a fitting end for a man who had devoted his life to the water and to the service of his country. Nice to meet you.
