The rain hammers against the metal roof of the school building, the smell of petrichor filling his senses. Despite the later hour, he stays rooted, watching the harsh drops ricochet off the concrete walkway. Luka had only stayed after school for about an hour, but that seemed just enough time for the weather to take a turn for the worse.

Were those weather apps ever accurate? Luka had his doubts.

Thankfully, he had a spare umbrella in his locker, kept for situations like this. He pushes the heavy metal doors open, the lock clicking as he moves to open his umbrella like clockwork. But then he hears a sudden splash, blinking him out of his tired daze.

A tall figure stands in the middle of the ongoing rainstorm, kicking puddles of water around in her wake. Her long brown hair falls in wet spirals. He blinks, raising a brow at the scene. "Hyuna?"

He calls out to the figure, who turns around with a crooked grin, which is never a good sign for him.

"Luka! What are you doing here so late?" She asks, not even wasting a second as she makes her way toward him, her soaking hand encircling his wrist. He doesn't even have time to react before he's pulled into the harsh droplets. Hyuna lets out a snort of laughter. Luka stumbles, his umbrella now useless as she drags him farther into the wet chaos. Her laughter rings out like a bell, carefree and teasing, as she spins in a little circle, water splashing everywhere.

"Hyuna, what the—?" Luka protests, but his words are drowned out by the pounding rain. He’s already soaked through, his glasses fogging up from the humidity and the absurdity of the situation. He looks at her, and the wide, mischievous grin on her face makes him roll his eyes.

Hyuna grins even wider, a wild gleam in her eyes as she releases his wrist, spinning on her heel. The rain pelts her with no mercy, but she doesn’t seem to care. She spreads her arms wide, as if she’s welcoming the storm with open arms.
