Asher had been in AA for awhile. He used to struggle with relapses but it wasn't an issue anymore. Now he's an advocate from AA, runs charity drives to found the program, and is big on getting others the help he didn't have early in his recovery.

He doesn't speak of his past much, but has visibly been through a lot. It doesn't take much to know that. And his newfound goal is to protect others from what he went through.
