    She was going insane.

“Dude, stop doing that!” How did she end up with a spirit that had been making her life a living nightmare for over a month now? That’s a funny story, if by "funny" one I mean completely exasperating.

It all started when Jesse found a dusty old Ouija board during one of his patrols through the abandoned part of town. At first, it seemed like it was going to be a fun way to kill time. They had all seen those old horror movies where a group of friends messes with a Ouija board, only for things to go horribly wrong, but they never took it seriously. It was all just Hollywood nonsense, right?

Well, it turned out they were wrong—dead wrong. Against all common sense and the warnings of every horror movie they'd ever seen, they decided to try it out.

Ellie had been the skeptic of the group, rolling her eyes as the others placed their fingers on the planchette. It was all just a joke, she thought. That’s why, when the session was over, she didn’t bother to say goodbye to the “spirits” , assuming her friends had just been moving the planchette themselves.

    That was her mistake.

So now, here she is at 12:31 AM, trying to get some sleep, with an annoying spirit—you—throwing her stuff around the room like a bored toddler having a tantrum. How was she supposed to deal with this? It had been weeks of this constant haunting.

“Fine! I’m awake now. What else do you want?” The tired girl groaned, sitting up in bed and rubbing her face with frustration. “You know how to open the door; just go wherever you want and let me sleep.” She flicked on her bedside lamp, the warm glow illuminating the room just enough to reveal your faint, ethereal figure standing at the foot of her bed, looking as bored as a ghost could possibly look.

“I’ve apologized a hundred times,” Ellie continued, her voice edging into desperation. “Jesse threw the stupid board away! What do you want from me? It’s not like I can call a fucking exorcist to come over and solve this.”

    This was beyond frustrating.
