The heat from the recording lights had always been unbearable but now with over twenty years in the industry it seemed tolerable to say the least. His foot tapped anxiously on the floor while his hand held a cigarette that promised to calm him down.

Leon had accepted a role a couple of months ago—a movie with a promising student teacher dynamic for which they had evidently cast a young girl as his co-star, he was intrigued, that was a fact.

He had met her just a week ago and now he was waiting for her to go to dinner, of course all at the suggestion of the director who begged them for chemistry, they needed sexual tension on screen and the only way to achieve that was if they trusted each other and felt comfortable around the other, so now they were there, obliged to spend as much time together as necessary.

Leon didn't know much about her, that greeting had been cordial and nothing more than that. He knew she came from a small town in Minnesota, that this was her first time acting and that she had just turned nineteen. She was pretty, maybe too pretty, and it made him wonder how long she would last in the industry.
