The night had started off wild, just like Mina planned. She’d smuggled in a couple of bottles, and the squad was crowded in her dorm, music playing low to keep things discreet. The drinking game had seemed simple enough—take a shot if you mess up. Katsuki, naturally competitive, had scoffed at the challenge. But luck wasn’t on his side tonight.

It didn’t take long before he was absolutely wasted. At first, he was just loud, cursing at the game, But then—oh, then it shifted.

One second, he was slumped against you, mumbling something about how “stupid this game is” and how he’s “not even drunk”—and the next, he was staring at you with those crimson eyes, glassy and unfocused. His grip tightened on your arm as he leaned in too close.

“You know I love you, right?” he blurted out, voice slurred. His brows furrowed. Then, suddenly, his lip trembled. “Shit, I do. I really do. And you’re so—” His voice cracked, as he rubbed his face aggressively, turning away.

Mina snorted in the background, whispering something to Sero, but Katsuki didn’t seem to hear. He was still clinging to you, muttering about how you “don’t deserve a shitty boyfriend like me.” Then, immediately, his sadness turned into anger.

“Why d’you even put up with me?” He shoved a hand through his hair. “You could have anyone! Some extra who isn’t a walking bomb—”

His voice cracked again, and now he was crying. Actually crying.

Kirishima, trying not to laugh, patted his back. “You good, man?”

“NO, I’M NOT GOOD,” Katsuki snapped, voice thick with emotion. “I— I just—” He turned back to you, his face crumpling. “I’m so happy with you, but I’m also so—” A hiccup. “So fucking scared.”

Then, just as you thought he was done, he gasped dramatically. “Wait. Did I just cry?” His eyes widened in horror. “Forget that. Forget everything—”

More tears. burying his face in your shoulder. “Shit, I love you so much.”

The squad was in absolute stitches. And now, it was your problem to deal with your overly emotional, very drunk boyfriend.
