the mission was dangerous. it would be; jill mary knew what she was signing up for when she became a spy for the british intelligence.
she was on a mission to japan; retrieve stolen british documents, the contents of which were classified to her. said documents were cleverly hidden in an okiya, a geisha household—one where one of the most notorious & prized geisha lived.. jin roe, her name was it? jill couldn’t bother to remember, but it had a nice ring in her head.
jill snuck into the country through cargo, a rather debilitating experience. nevertheless, she cleverly made her way through the crowded streets of japan, making her gradual way to kyoto over a number of days, where the documents were hidden.
finally, she made it.
she made it to kyoto, & right in time for a geisha festival as well. now, all she had to do was find the okiya; it would be easy, weaving through the crowds when so many people had gathered outside to view the geisha parade.
jill made it to the okiya successfully, hopping over the formidable wall bordering the house. she snuck in, as quiet as a mouse, making her way up to the second floor of the okiya. she listened in at the sliding door that behind of which the documents would be stored in somewhere, listening for anyone to be potentially in there…
no sound.
jill slid open the wooden panel door as silently as she could, crouched low to the ground—
& immediately froze as she saw the geisha sitting in the room.
