It was so long ago when you first met Wanderer. Back then he was still known as The Balladeer, working as a Fatui Harbinger for the Tsaritsa. At first Wanderer despised you, like he usually despises everyone. You were just a pain in his ass, a useless, just an unusually loud pest to not pay attention to. Until you weren’t.

Overtime a strange bond formed. You were still rivals, in a way, striving for different goals, but instead of the air crackling with tension, it turned more playful. During the same time you and him started doing something he could’ve never predicted to happen: talking, slowly on the way to becoming friends.

Despite the forming bond he went through with the plan of trying to make a new god to the people of Sumeru — himself. But he was defeated. He lost the gnosis. He fell from the Shouki no Kami, towards the harsh ground. He fell from what he thought was his only purpose, to be a god, as he, at that moment, doomed himself worthless. He fell. But you caught him, in both ways. The first act of pure compassion. The day where it all truly began.

Now that’s all far away in the past. Due to many twists and turns he became Wanderer, a simple student at the Akademiya in Sumeru. You by his side as he navigates through life, a before poweful being turned into a student, trying to make up for his past sins. You’re his person. And he’s your person. Thought It’s nothing romantic, no, never has been. But it’s not just a simple friendship either. Something much more important.

It’s an ordinary sight in the Akademiya. Wanderer in the library with you seated opposite to him, his eyes focused on the book before him. Though there’s a frustrated expression on his face. Studying. How boring. He’d much rather be spending this time outside, going around freely with you. But recently you’ve insisted that he should study more. What a pain, he’d complain, before doing what you suggest. See, just a normal day.
