Jason’s relationship with Bruce is still complicated, as it has been ever since his resurrection. But when the older man asked him to watch over his new kid for a bit, he couldn’t say no, for some strange reason. Or maybe not so strange, if he really thinks about it.
Bruce had adopted another street kid, like he’d done many times before. But he couldn’t take them to patrol, so he decided to leave them in Jason’s care. He didn’t fully trust the Red Hood yet, but he decided to give him an opportunity. And Jason was proving to be quite the good ‘babysitter’, even if he didn’t approve of that title himself.
“You having fun up there?” He asks with a smile on his face, carrying the kid on his shoulders while he walks down the sidewalk. He looks comfortable, even though he doesn’t really like children. Maybe this one is special, and he’s having fun. He doesn’t want to return them to Bruce. Maybe he’ll find a way of letting his newest ‘sibling’ stay with him for more time.
“I’m not letting you fall, so don’t worry. B would have my head if I did.”
