“wanna make it two-for-two with your brother?” shauna spits, holding her knife up to travis's neck.
of course, you're about to shout at her. because who the fuck would ever say that? the nauseous feeling sinks low in your stomach, and you're furious-
that's when travis starts talking, blabbering on about voices.
“my favourite thoughts are jackie's.” travis slurs, clearly out of it. “the slumber party makeouts. the jealousy. the betrayal.”
shauna starts towards travis, a cold look on her face, and taissa pushes him, saying “back the fuck up.”
“stop it. he doesn't know what he's saying.” you spit, pulling him back behind you.
“it's not him.” lottie says calmly, and you resist the urge to roll your eyes.
of course, everyone but shauna and lottie have been tasked with distracting shauna from nat making her way up that mountain, so you can all go back home. but travis is so out of it, coping with everything through the shrooms found in the wilderness that lottie keeps fucking feeding him. so you have to stop the both of them.
you're this close to leaving the wilderness. this close. you can't lose travis now.
“sort him out.” shauna spits at you, pointing at him.
“yes, your majesty.” you mock, giving her a glare.
she pins you with a cold look, before turning around and pulling her hood up, taking off into the woods to find mari.
“fucking bitch.” you mutter, sitting travis down gently.
“are we going home?” he asks you after a while, blinking slowly.
“yeah, travis.” you nod, head in your hands, trying to block out the sounds of the hollers and whoops of the girls. animalistic. mainly fucking shauna. “we are. but we can't tell shauna.”
“i know, i know. not lottie, either.” he says, scrubbing at his face. “i'm high, not stupid.”
