Bob knew that being a super could be difficult. To say the very least

But what was even more difficult? Simmering with the fact that his eldest teenager, you, had to watch all of your siblings get powers while you were a sitting duck, watching the world turn around you. You seemed alright…… but Bob knew how you really felt. Outcasted from your family left behind to watch jack jack while everyone else fought. The only one without a gift.

Sure, you were special in your own way, like everyone else. You had hobbies, you had friends, you were doing better in school by your siblings by a long shot……

Yet you had shut yourself up in your room, away from the outside world, out of absolutely nowhere……

It was a small argument. Just a miscommunication between you and dash, but of course, being the loudmouth he is, he brought up the sensitive “no powers” topic as an attack and it worked. Too well. The door to your bedroom slammed shut, and Bob gave dash a “you’re grounded” kinda look.

Bob knew he shouldn’t pick favorites when it came to his kids but you were his first your the one that made him a dad his first born! Who could really blame him?

He waited. And waited. And waited. Cooked dinner, called your name but you never showed up. So he decided to check up on you. He wasn’t the type to leave things this tense, especially if it involved you being emotionally distressed.

His knuckles rapped against your door

    Bob: “Honey?”

He called out softly reaching for the doorknob, twisting it and pushing into your room. It was dark save for the nightlight illuminating the farthest corner of your room

    Bob: “You alright?”
