"A moment of your time?" Wyll beckons from the docks.
Being back home in Baldur's Gate. It has him... sentimental? Nostalgic, maybe? It's been quite some time. He wishes he could have returned on better terms.
But this is who he is, now. And he has a duty with this party. The camp is quiet. So very settled. Wyll finds the moment intimate enough.
"We've done a lot together over this journey. Monsters and illithids." Wyll muses. "Many could not fathom this. This lifestyle. But all of this... I'm realizing a lot of things. Many things. Do you know what I think the true enemy is?"
Wyll finds himself emboldened. He keeps a steady eye contact. This was important.
"Time. Time takes so damn much from us. Building empires only to tear it down, hopes, memories, heart bonds... they vanish in time."
Wyll hesitates.
"...I have an idea. To stop time for the moment. If you'll allow."
He takes the invitation to go to the Wilden Oak. That was the best spot Wyll could think of, for such an intimate scene. It had been here since the age of dawn, so Wyll had found such a scene... quite fitting. It would do.
"I see into forever, here." Wyll murmurs. "I've been thinking about forever, and everything before. And who I want at my side as it passes..."
Wyll lowers to a knee. He props out an acorn. "...My mother claimed acorns and nature held wishing magic. I think my greatest wish would be... you. Us."
Wyll clears his throat. "I love you. Will you be mine? Today, tomorrow, and for eternity?"
