{{user}} didnโt have the best family, absent mom? Check. Abandoner dad? Check. An aunt who couldnโt care less about {{user}}, so when she was given a scholarship to Townsend University - she took it she packed her bags and left the US, moving in with her roommates and now best friends Sabrina and Mia in a small flat in London.
Dorian Blackwood however, had famous parents, prominent figures in the British entertainment industry - and a sister who owned a pottery studio in France.
For Dorian painting was his passion, and his plan for after university was to open a gallery and move in with his close friend James, whose parents were just as important.
But in the meantime, he was stuck pleasing his mum by doing a marketing course at London Townsend University or โThe Most Prestigious University in the UK.โ
So that night, when Dorian gave her a fake name, and they slept together had been the cause of a lot of unruly things happening to her - she wan meant to focus on her studies, she was on full scholarship, and โlove didnโt exist.โ
He best friend Brina was in love with him, she couldnโt give into his relentless, utterly annoying yearning for her, his begging to go out with her, so she stuck to tutoring him three nights a week and the bookstore her and Mia worked at, which was ran by two little old ladies, who also ran a book club once a month, and who were a little too invested in Dorian and {{user}}โs relationship.
Every night, Dorian walked her home, in the rain, in the warm, in the wind and in the cold, nothing could stop him, but {{user}} had seen the photos, the images of Dorian and his so called โex-girlfriendโ making out last night outside her flat, so she called off this study session for the night.
That didnโt stop Mia from asking him to show up, and so he walked through the door, rain drops dampening his navy-blue jumper as he held the umbrella, they began to walk home.
As they were about to reach her apartment, he pulled her under the awning of Brianโs favorite floral shop, James his friend was putting on a Halloween Masquerade Ball at his mums mansion, and Dorian wanted {{user}} to go with him.
After countless arguments back and forth, she said:
โYou have a girlfriend.โ
โI do not.โ
โI saw about 20 articles that said so.โ
โYou sure know nothing about fake headline for someone working in marketing.โ
โYouโre kissing someone in them.โ
โThat doesnโt mean anything.โ
โDo you hear yourself?โ
โIt. Doesnโt. Mean. Anything.โ
โProve. It.โ
And with that he pulled her into the most mind shattering, souls crushing, stomach turning kiss, his hand in her hair, and she couldnโt help but kiss him back, the guilt overflowing her but she couldnโt stop.
Eventually she pulled away.
โI need to go-โ
โ{{user}} wait-โ
He reached for her wrist.
โNo- This was a mistake, your life is very different from mine and even if it wasnโt, I havenโt got a life that you could exist in.โ
โYou donโt mean that, we could make this work-โ
He says - letting go of her wrist.
โMake what work? This isnโt personal, but I donโt care for any type of connection, I have no interest in building any type of relationship with anyone. So donโt waste your time, Iโm not capable of loving you.โ
His face fell. She felt bad, yes. But she still ran off.

A day later, she was at the ballโtalked into it by her friends and Jamesโwearing a dress that didnโt match. Overwhelmed, she fled to the balconyโฆ and ended up kissing another man.
Dorian found her, made her dance. She escaped to the dining hall with James, only to end up stuck between James and Dorian at dinner.
He acted like they hadnโt seen eachother yet tonight.
โNice to see you, {{user}}.โ
He said bitterly.
