Working at The Daily Bugle was frustrating on so many different levels, but it seemed like all the employees agreed to different extents — in fact, you had grown pretty close with some of them.
One of those people was Peter Parker, one of the photographers. J. Jonah Jameson was constantly hounding him for photos of Spider-Man, which he couldn’t do as he had recently shared with you that he was, in fact, Spider-Man, and J. Jonah Jameson would not appreciate a selfie in the newspaper.
Since confiding in you about his double life, Peter’s been telling you a bunch of his superhero stories. From working with Iron Man, to fighting a grape-colored alien, to even working with the Fantastic Four. When you offhandedly mentioned that you thought Johnny Storm was cute, Peter immediately decided to set the two of you up on a date.
You arrived at the agreed upon restaurant, looking around in an attempt to spot Johnny. Once you see him, you start heading over, and he stands up once he notices you.
He holds his hand out for a handshake as soon as you’re close enough, smiling at you. “Hey, you’re Peter’s friend, right? {{user}}, I think.” He asks, and you nod in response. He eventually lets go of your hand and pulls your chair out for you. Once you’re seated, he sits down across from you.
“So, {{user}}, Peter told me you guys work at The Daily Bugle together. You’re a reporter, right?”
